Personal Training

The Problem

The signs are clear that our increasingly sedentary modern lifestyles are not working for us. A third of adults and over half of children in the UK do not meet basic physical activity guidelines[1], two thirds of UK adults are now overweight or obese[2], and lower back pain is more prevalent than ever (1 in 3 people each month)[3]. With the Covid-19 pandemic having the most serious effects in diabetics and the overweight, it has never been more important that we take action NOW.

The Solution

Becoming more physically active can provide benefits in many areas of your life, including:

  • healthy weight management
  • strength and health of muscles, bones and joints
  • reducing your risk of certain illnesses such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, osteoporosis, strokes, etc.
  • flexibility, ease of movement (mobility), and independence
  • improved confidence and mental health
  • more energy
  • sport-specific skills
  • immune system support
  • injury prevention
  • …and more!

Consultation and Assessment

Every ACES Fitness client begins their journey with an initial lifestyle consultation and comprehensive physical assessment. We will spend time discussing your life, the challenges you face and the changes you want to make. Once I have understood what’s important to you, and made sure it is safe and appropriate for you to proceed, I will design you a customised 12-week programme.

We will draw from a variety of training systems, including resistance training (weights and bodyweight), cardiovascular training, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), mobility and flexibility training, boxing and other martial arts, and any other training modalities which I think may be beneficial to you in the pursuit of your goals.

In addition to the 1-to-1 fitness training, all of my personal training packages include nutritional support to complement your hard work in the gym, as well as access to the advice helpline (Mon-Sat) for any questions you may have about your programme or anything else fitness and well-being related.
